Six GentlePets (Liu Jun Zi Tang) combines Er Chen Tang with Four Gentlemen Decoction (Si Jun Zi Tang). The two ingredients from Er Chen Tang are Tangerine dried rind of mature fruit and ginger cured Pinellia rhizome – two herbs that act together to transform Phlegm and descend Stomach Qi, thus relieving occasional nausea, vomiting, indigestion and bloating.

Four Gentlemen Decoction contains White Asian ginseng root and rhizome and White atractylodes rhizome, both of which assist the Spleen in completely transforming food into the fundamental substances, thereby avoiding the production of Damp. White Asian ginseng root and rhizome also is a potent Qi tonic. Poria leeches Damp that has already accumulated, and further supports the Spleen. Chinese licorice root and rhizome tonifies the Stomach Qi.

Combined together as Six GentlePets, the two formulas provide relatively complete support for the Spleen and Stomach as well as vigorously augmenting the Qi of the body as a whole.
